The weekly probe calibration check
A weekly calibration check, due each Monday, confirms the probe is still accurate before you rely on it for another week.

Probe calibration is a weekly task, due each Monday, alongside your other checks on Today.
Test the ice point
Place the probe in melting ice and record the reading. It needs to fall between −1.0°C and 1.0°C to pass.
Test the boiling point
Place the probe in boiling water and record the reading. It needs to fall between 99.0°C and 101.0°C to pass.
Both tests must pass independently
Calibration only passes overall if both the ice point and the boiling point are within their bounds. A pass on one and a fail on the other still counts as a fail.
A failure opens a guided corrective action
If either test fails, the same guided corrective-action engine used everywhere else in the app opens automatically. If the probe is still failing by the end of that process, there's an option to retire it directly from within the corrective action — no separate step in Settings needed.
Probe calibration is part of the same temperature logging feature.
