Adopt a method
Adopting one means answering every personalisation question for that method, then signing off with your typed name and role. It's a genuine acknowledgement, not a blanket tick.
Edit an adopted method if needed
Editing always creates a new draft version with a required change note. You also have to classify the edit as material (changes what staff actually need to do) or cosmetic (wording or formatting only).
Cosmetic edits carry acknowledgements forward
If the change is cosmetic, everyone who'd already acknowledged the method keeps that acknowledgement automatically — nobody needs to re-sign.
Material edits require re-acknowledgement
If the change is material, anyone who previously acknowledged the method needs to acknowledge the new version before it counts as signed off for them.
