Recording fridge and freezer temperatures
Storage temperatures — fridges, freezers, and any other appliance you've added — are taken as part of your daily round. The safe range for each reading is calculated on the server each time.
Open the appliance from your daily round
Each fridge, freezer or other unit you've added appears in the morning and evening temperature round on Today. Tap it to record a reading.
Enter the temperature
Type or select the reading from the probe. There's nothing else to fill in — no appliance link to choose, since you're already inside that appliance's own entry.
The band is calculated on the server
The colour is calculated by the server each time a reading is saved, based on the appliance and your premises' UK nation. This applies even if you were offline when you took the reading.
An out-of-range reading opens a corrective action automatically
If a reading falls outside the safe range — including the too-cold end, not just too warm — a guided corrective action opens straight away. There's no separate step to raise it.
It joins the appliance's history
Every reading is kept permanently against that appliance, as part of the appliance's history.
