Hot-hold and display temperatures
Hot-hold cabinets and display units are added and checked the same way as fridges and freezers, and included in the same daily round.
Add the unit as an appliance
From Manage → Appliances, add your hot-hold or display unit and choose the matching type, exactly as you would for a fridge or freezer.
It joins the daily round
Once added, the unit appears alongside your other appliances in the temperature checks on Today, with its own name and history.
Record readings against the right safe range
Hot-hold has a minimum of 63°C, the same across all four UK nations. Display units get their own safe range set for that appliance type, just like a fridge or freezer would.
Out-of-range readings work the same way
A hot-hold or display reading outside its safe range opens a guided corrective action automatically, the same as any other storage appliance.
The reading history builds up alongside your other appliances
Every hot-hold and display reading is kept permanently against that appliance, in the same way as a fridge or freezer.
Hot-hold and display units are both covered by temperature logging.
