Cleaning checks and how they're scheduled
Rated5 sets up seven cleaning tasks for you from day one, spread across four different frequencies. Most appear on Today waiting to be done — one type works the other way round.
Four frequencies, one schedule
Your default cleaning schedule has seven tasks, covering four frequencies:
| Frequency | How it behaves |
|---|---|
| After use | Logged in the moment, not scheduled ahead |
| Daily | Appears on Today, due that day |
| Weekly | Appears on its due day |
| Monthly | Appears on its due day |
Daily, weekly and monthly tasks work exactly like your checklist items — they’re generated ahead of time and sit on Today waiting for you, with a due date attached. If one goes unanswered past its due date, it follows the same missed-check handling as any other check in your diary.
Why “after use” tasks are different
Some cleaning tasks — such as a chopping board or a probe wipe — don’t have a fixed time of day. They need doing whenever the item is used, which could be once or several times a day, or not at all.
“After use” tasks aren’t generated in advance or left waiting on Today. Instead, you create and complete them in the same action — you log the clean at the point you do it, rather than ticking off something that was already sitting there.
What this means day to day
- Daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks behave just like your opening and closing checklist items — check Today, answer them, done.
- After-use tasks have no tile waiting for you in advance — you record them as you go, whenever the relevant equipment or surface is used.
- Both types produce the same kind of permanent record once logged.
The cleaning schedule can be adjusted from Manage → Cleaning.
Cleaning is one part of the wider daily checks feature set.
