Adding another premises to your account

Updated 18/07/2026 · 2 min read

Rated5 is priced per premises (see [pricing](/pricing)), and the number you're billed for is worked out automatically from how many active premises are on your account — you never set that number yourself.

1

Go to add a new premises

An Owner can add a new premises from Settings. You'll be asked for its details, and you can choose to copy the setup — appliances, checklists, safe methods and more — across from an existing premises to save time.

2

The premises is added to your account

It appears alongside your other premises immediately, ready to start recording checks once its own setup (such as appliances) is in place.

3

Billing updates automatically

Your bill is recalculated from the live count of active premises on the account — there's nothing to configure manually.

4

If you're on a paid plan, you're charged straight away

If your account is actively subscribed (not on a trial), adding a premises triggers an immediate prorated charge covering that premises for the rest of your current billing period. If you're still on the free trial, there's no charge until you subscribe.

Tip: Archiving a premises reduces your billed count with no refund for time already paid — see cancelling and what happens to your records for how ending or reducing your account affects existing data.
