Add your fridges, freezers and other appliances
Every appliance you add appears in your daily temperature round, with its own safe range and history. Add each fridge, freezer, display unit and hot-hold on your premises.

Open Manage → Appliances
From the Manage tab, choose Appliances. You'll see every unit already on this premises.

Tap Add appliance
Give it a name your team will recognise — "Prep fridge 2", not "Fridge B". Choose the type: fridge, freezer, display unit or hot-hold.

Check the safe range
Rated5 sets the safe range for the appliance type and your UK nation automatically. You can tighten it if your own procedures are stricter — you can't loosen it past the legal limit.

Save — it joins the daily round
The appliance now appears in your morning and evening temperature checks. Drag to reorder the list to match the order you walk the kitchen in.
Tip: Retiring an appliance instead of deleting it keeps its past readings in your diary.
