Google Analytics sets cookies, so it only runs once you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; declining (or ignoring it) means Google Analytics never loads and no analytics cookie is set.

The app (go.rated5.app)

The Rated5 app sets one strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in — httpOnly (invisible to page scripts) and Secure (sent only over HTTPS), never used for tracking or advertising. Under UK/EU cookie law, a cookie a service genuinely can't function without doesn't require consent, so this one is always set once you sign in.

Like this marketing site, the app also uses Google Analytics to understand real-world usage patterns and improve the product — gated behind its own accept/decline banner inside the app, entirely separate from the choice you make here. Declining there means Google Analytics never loads inside the app either.
